Searching for some fun summer activities in Grand Rapids? We’ve got the lead on a few of the more exciting attractions...
The cool thing about the symphony in Grand Rapids is the diversity of entertainment. Sure, there’s fantastic classical music. In fact, you can hear everything from Ravel to Gershwin at the upcoming “Rhapsody in Blue” event on September 17th. But there are also shows like the David Bowie Tribute on August 2nd and The Piano Men on September 23rd.
Stroll through beautiful gardens and contemplate all of the incredible sculptures contained there. It’s a wonderful way to appreciate both nature and art at the same time. While you are there, pick up some quality garden supplies and tools at the gift shop and grab a bite to eat at Taste of the Gardens Cafe.
Many people are of the mind that the Meyer May House is the finest example of Frank Lloyd Wright’s inimitable style. The house has been fully restored and even features the original furnishings. You can tour the house and watch a documentary for free! Check out their schedule here.
