Winter can be rough on a vehicle, but at Dan Pfeiffer Plainfield Used Cars we have a careful checklist to ensure that our inventory of used cars is as good as new, any time of year. Don’t let the change of seasons take a toll on your vehicle. Get your car ready for spring, inside and out, by following this maintenance checklist.
Cold weather can be rough on a car’s engine. Pop the hood and look around to make sure that your vehicle is set to function at its highest performance. Check your oil levels, your windshield wiper fluid, and your coolant. Test your battery to make sure it’s at its best. You may even consider scheduling an oil change and a checkup to get a professional’s opinion.
Nothing is more important in the rainy season than solid visibility. Wash off your windshield with some glass cleaner, and replace your wiper blades. Check the air pressure in your tires, as well as the tread, which can sometimes be damaged during the winter.
Give your car a nice spring cleaning by vacuuming the upholstery and floors, and then wash your floor mats in the washing machine. Wipe down surfaces using a gentle cleaner.
